Information under Articles 13 and 14 GDPR for the Break Your Pattern Quiz.
1. Who is responsible (controller)
Anjuli Hertle, Otto-Hahn-Str. 2, 72622 NĂ¼rtingen, Deutschland. Email: breaking.life.patterns@gmail.com.
2. What this quiz collects
- Your quiz answers, which are multiple choice selections about your emotional and behavioural life patterns, plus any optional free text notes you choose to write.
- Your email address, which you enter at the end so we can send your result.
- Whether you ticked the optional box to receive launch updates.
- Basic technical access data created when any website is visited (handled by our hosting provider, see section 6).
3. Special category data (Article 9)
Your answers can reveal information about your emotional state or mental wellbeing. We treat them as special category data under Article 9 GDPR. We process them only on the basis of your express consent (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you give by ticking the required box before your result is sent. You can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future, and ask us to delete your data (see section 8).
4. Purposes and legal bases
- Creating and emailing your result: your consent, Article 6(1)(a) and Article 9(2)(a) GDPR. Your result is assembled by a simple script from pre written text. It is not generated by an AI system, and no human reads your answers.
- Launch updates / waiting list (optional): your separate consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, together with section 7 UWG for email advertising. This is confirmed by double opt in (you receive a plain confirmation email and only join the list after you click the link). This consent is not required to receive your result.
- Website hosting and security: our legitimate interest in delivering and securing the site, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Visit measurement: privacy friendly, aggregate visit measurement that does not use cookies and does not identify you. See section 7.
5. No automated decision with legal effect
Your result is informational self reflection. It does not make any decision about you that has legal or similarly significant effects, so Article 22 GDPR does not apply.
6. Who receives the data (processors)
- Vercel hosts the website. A data processing agreement (Article 28 GDPR) is in place. Vercel may process data in the United States under the EU US Data Privacy Framework, which provides an adequate level of protection.
- Brevo (Sendinblue, France, EU) sends your result email and, only if you opted in, manages the launch updates list. A data processing agreement is in place.
7. Cookies and visit measurement
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Visit measurement is done with a privacy friendly tool that does not store identifiers on your device and does not track you across sites, so no consent banner is required under section 25 TDDDG.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data (Art. 15), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), to object (Art. 21), and to withdraw any consent at any time. To use any of these, email breaking.life.patterns@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
9. How long we keep data
- Quiz answers and optional notes: kept only as long as needed to create and send your result, then deleted.
- Email address: kept while you are on the launch updates list, and deleted on unsubscribe or on your request. Consent records are kept as proof for as long as legally needed.
